An introductory course that emphasizes the impacts of increasing human populations and resource consumption patterns on the world's atmosphere,
soils, oceans, agricultural and native land based ecosystems, biological diversity, and the health and welfare of humans. Themes and means of sustainable development and uses of resources, environmental policy, and global change are
